Why use a compost bucket?
To avoid the hassle of going back and forth between the kitchen and the composter, the compost bucket is a must!
Especially in winter, when you don't always feel like going out to compost in the cold...
Ceercle developed a practical and attractive compost bin, designed to facilitate the temporary storage of your organic waste.
By composting your biowaste, you can reduce the weight of your garbage can by 30%!
How do I use it?
The principle is very simple:
🍌 After cooking, throw your peelings into your compost bucket. Airtight, it prevents odours.
♻️ Once full, simply empty it into your neighborhood compost bin, your garden composter, or yourbeautiful Ceercle worm composter.
What can we put inside?
With a capacity of almost 4L, our compost bucket can hold several days' worth of organic waste before being emptied into a composter.
You can add any number of kitchen scraps to your compost bucket. Here are just a few examples:
- Fruit and vegetable peelings (apples, carrots, potatoes, etc.)
- Damaged fruit and vegetables
- Coffee grounds and paper filters
- Tea bags (without staples)
- Crushed eggshells
- Paper towels and napkins
- Toilet paper and paper towel rolls
Certain types of food waste should be avoided, especially as they generate unpleasant odours:
- Meat, fish, bones
- Dairy products (butter, cheese, milk)
- Oils and fats in large quantities
Remember that plastic, metal and glass are not biodegradable.
