🥔 Crunchy chips

Turn your potato peelings into tasty homemade potato chips! The skin is a concentrate of benefits: rich in vitamins and minerals, it boosts the immune system and helps regulate cholesterol.

First, brush and wash the skin thoroughly to remove all impurities.

Deep-fryer version: For crispy chips, coat peelings with flour before plunging into hot oil for 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Season with salt and spices such as paprika, cumin or pepper.

Oven-baked version: Fancy a lighter version? Opt for baking! Mix clean, dry peelings with olive oil, salt, pepper and spices or herbes de Provence. Spread them out on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 200°C for 15 minutes.

Simple, fast and anti-gaspi!

🍟 An air freshener

If your frying oil has an unpleasant smell, use potato peelings to purify it. Dip a handful of clean peelings in hot oil and fry for a few minutes. They'll absorb impurities and neutralize unpleasant odors. Then remove them with tongs or a colander, and your oil will be ready for use again, clean and odor-free!

✨ A natural cleanser

There's no better way to brighten up your stainless steel pans than with potatoes.

Potato peelings are a real ally when it comes to stainless steel maintenance. Use the inside of the peelings to scrub your cutlery, dishes or pans. Rinse with lukewarm water. In just a few easy steps, they'll look as good as new, without the use of chemicals!

🌿 A remedy for burns

Did you know that potatoes can be an effective ally in soothing burns? Potatoes have a high water and starch content. They have been used for centuries for their soothing and antiseptic properties.

For mild burns, apply a potato peel, flesh side down, to the affected area. Hold it in place with a bandage and leave on for one to two hours.

This tip is also effective against sunburn, redness or acne, but only for superficial lesions. For more serious burns, consult a doctor immediately.
