🍯 Melon peel jam
Cut 1 kg of peel into thin strips. Place in a saucepan with 1 kg sugar, a little water and lemon zest. Cook for 2 hours to obtain a jelly-like texture.
Now all you have to do is put it in pots!
This jam is perfect with toast, pancakes or yoghurt.
🌞 A natural remedy for sunburn
Melon has moisturizing and soothing properties! It can help soothe superficial burns.
If you get sunburned after a tanning session, use melon rind as a natural after-sun.
Apply them gently to the skin, flesh side down. You should feel a pleasant sensation of freshness.
🍸 Roasted seeds as an aperitif
Like pumpkin seeds, melon seeds are edible. They are delicious when roasted.
Wash the seeds to remove any residual flesh. Fry in a pan (without adding fat) for 5 minutes. Season with the spices of your choice.

Place melon rinds in an airtight jar. Boil 1 liter white vinegar with 60 g sugar in a saucepan. Pour the mixture into the jar, covering the rinds well. Close and wait one week before using.
